Master Rust Protection Zinc is used to protect iron and steel surfaces, welds, etc. from corrosion. The finished paint film contains at least 90% zinc, which is electrochemically bound to iron or steel surfaces by the moisture in the air. The product is self-healing in case of mechanical damage due to the ability of zinc to creep over the exposed surface. Rust Protection Zinc provides corrosion protection comparable to hot-dip galvanizing, but can be applied directly on site. The propellant in this product is classified as renewable by the mass balance principle. This means that the corresponding amount of propellant in this product has been produced from renewable raw material. Compared to propellants of fossil origin, this results in a CO2 reduction from propellant production of 40-90%.
